Greetings!

Thank you for visiting my web site! My new book, What Women Wish Their Pastors Knew, is finally finished! Zondervan released the book in early February, 2007, just in time for its initial “launch” at the National Pastors’ Conference in San Diego, California, where I was a guest speaker. This book gives women from around the country an opportunity to speak out to pastors today. I received literally hundreds of emails, letters, and phone calls from women—of all different ages and stages of life; from almost every state in the nation; from employed and work-at-home women/mothers; from single women and married women—with and without children; and from 30 different denominations! The sheer number of responses overwhelmed me!

The four-book Bible study series for women-- Secrets of Soul Gardening-- is alive and doing well! Prison Ministry Fellowship, (Chuck Colson’s prison ministry), is currently using these  books to teach the Bible to women in prisons around the country. I thank God for this opportunity to reach these hurting women.  Each of the four books focuses on a particular topic that concerns women today: prayer, forgiveness, fear, and a daughter's relationship with her father and how it influences her entire life for good or ill. The books can be used as both a personal and a group Bible study. As you scan through these books, you'll discover that I have a burden for women today. So many women in our society, and in our world, are hurting. They are suffering due to divorce, spousal abuse, financial needs, the loss of a spouse or child or parent or loved one, health concerns, fear, loneliness, depression, past and present bad relationships with a father, spiritual disappointments, betrayal, un-forgiveness and bitterness, empty prayer and unanswered prayer, and numerous other problems most women face.

I have discovered that most women's problems are universal. Women in the United States carry the same burdens as women in the Middle East, Europe, England, Japan, etc. I have spoken to, and led Bible studies, in all these countries--around the world--and the problems are the same. The answer to these problems is also the same: God's Word. I offer no "pat" answers in my books for women, but a deep study of what Scripture tells us about overcoming pain and difficulties and sorrow.

I pray my books can reach out and help you, encourage you. I also hope you will use them to reach out and minister to someone who needs to hear fresh hope and sound spiritual teaching.

May God bless you as you reach out and bless others.
